Just 2 minutes’ walk from Lake Taupo, Acapulco Motor Inn offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV and a DVD player. We appreciated that our heat pump was turned on before our arrival. The spa bath was lovely and I appreciated the natural bath products. The cooked breakfast was well presented and delicious. We were given a free newspaper. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

National Park Alpine Lodge var byggt árið 1912 og býður upp á lággjaldagistirými í bakpokastíl í heillandi sögulegri byggingu. Such a cosy lodge, the perfect spot to relax after a long day tramping/skiing/exploring the national park. I've been travelling and staying in hostels for the past few months and so decided to treat myself to a private room at the Alpine Lodge and I was so glad I did...the beds are made with a fleece mattress cover, sheets and pillow slips and this made for one of the comfiest nights sleep of my life - I never wanted to get out of bed! Decor is a little dated but this really led to me feeling more cosy and at home. The kitchen is huge and really well kitted out and clean. All facilities are clean and functional and the little shop adjoining the lodge is great for food bits. Thanks to the lovely staff for making my stay at the NP so memorable!

Horse and Jockey Inn er staðsett í miðbæ Matamata, í 20 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá Hobbiton-kvikmyndasettinu og býður upp á 50 MB af ókeypis WiFi. It’s a nice location, there is a countdown across the road.
