Flatdal
The four course dinner at Nutheim is made of local ingredients and gives the food a homemade feeling that matches the welcoming home-feeling from the hostess presenting the food and the history of the hotel. Dinner is served with excellent wine or beer from the hotel’s own microbrewery. The breakfast buffet is traditional for Telemark and includes homemade bread and jam. Beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. The food was exceptionally good. We would love to stay again.

Good location for overnight stay near TORP Sandefjord Airport
Wonderful breakfast. Nice dinner at the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location of the main building. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable
Lovely staff, great location, free dinner AND breakfast, with homemade cake and coffee in the lobby Very quirky fun , as hotel has a whaling museum, as part of the property.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Easy location for neighbouring places Stavern and Helgeroa. Nice breakfast. Tea and coffee on offer as and when.
A lot of charm for this old building with history! A great out-door area to chill with a drink, or for lunch / dinner, a compact menu in the restaurant with some local dishes... The room was cosy, the bathroom large enough and well-fitted. Internet was functioning and stable. Staff was both helpful and very professional. All-in-all, everything was almost fine and perfect. A great note for the opulent breakfast buffet which was really, really good (the local bread is amazing!). Hotel Kong (Karl) is King !
beautiful couple running this guest house. we had brilliant conversation with them and they are so welcoming ! room was beautiful, they made us cooked to order dinner and breakfast !!! the whole atmosphere is just great !!! will definitely come back if in the area.
The four course dinner was delicious and beautifully presented! Ellen, the owner, told us the interesting history about the area before dinner. The next day she gave us a tour of the parsonage and chapel, which had been her childhood home. She made our stay so personal and special. It was a rainy fall day outside but inside it was cozy and we were able to sit by the fire for a relaxing morning.
Loved the décor of this property and would like to extend our stay but the hotel was fully booked for the following day. sadly we had to leave. Renovated room, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Great shower and amenities. Front desk gentleman was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Decent wifi speed. Fancy dinner at the restaurant. one of the best hotels we stayed in Norway and would definitely return in the future.
The couple who run this guest house have created a wonderful place - a sanctuary where one can sit outside, surrounded by forested hills, and relax. My room provided everything needed: comfy bed, good shower, good wifi. It was useful to have the use of a fridge and small kitchen, giving the option to self-cater. There's a supermarket just across the street. Plenty of parking. I had dinner and breakfast here. Both were good but the dinner in particular was excellent, and good value by Norwegian standards.
Location suited us as we needed a stop on our travels from Flam to Kristiansand. The location and view of the lake were great. Restaurant dinner and breakfast were good. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. For us it was the fact they had a guest laundry that was best. It was the only hotel on our 6 week trip that had one. Not sure what Europeans do for clean clothes as we stayed at most places only 1 or 2 nights so not long enough to use the very expensive hotel laundry services. Laundromats seem to be few and far between.
