Featuring a garden, bar and views of mountain, The Ancient Briton is set in Pen-y-cae, 30 km from Grand Theatre. Stayed here after doing the 4 waterfalls walk. After a good 5 hours of walking we arrived at the Ancient Briton we were greeted by friendly helpful staff and shown to our room. Recently refurbished pub the room was very spacious and very clean and the beds very comfortable. We later went on to have a meal the food was very good all locally sourced meat etc and the deserts hand made. In the morning breakfast was prepared by emma the landlady and again was beyond expectation. Overall I was very impressed and would highly recommend the Ancient Briton

Situated in Brecon, The Griffin Llyswen has a garden, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. We stopped here at the last moment after traveling for 24+ hours from the US. They were able to accommodate us on short notice and let us check in early - we slept 16 hours in a very comfy bed and woke up almost jet lag free the next morning to a delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend the pizza for dinner! It was a perfect start to our honeymoon, and we can't wait to come back when we move to Wales in a couple years.

Set in Forden, 11 km from Dolforwyn Castle, The Railway Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Breakfast was excellent with a full English breakfast very well cooked and presented. I also enjoyed the evening meal of Lamb Rump; the chef is to be congratulated on presenting an excellent meal. The choice of real ale beers at the bar was also great. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
