The room is both modern but traditional, we really appreciated having a mixer for hot and cold water (!!). The room is basically in the inn courtyard, really charming, we enjoyed it a lot. Warmth. Rustic feel very appropriate to the location. Room was lovely with scenic outlook, overlooking snow covered mountains with deer grazing in the morning. Dinner was pre-booked as knew there weren’t other nearby options but didn’t need them as the menu was great. Breakfast was very comprehensive. Great breakfast area and breakfast staff were very hospitable. Appreciated the later breakfast time.
Beautiful guest house nestled in the Highlands a few miles from Dalwhinnie. Annie was warm and welcoming on arrival, the room was spotless and very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Location is ideal for exploring the surrounding mountains, or as a midway stop-off for travels further north.
Good area if you’re going past Inverness for the highlands but also near the city to drive to for dinner. Had a pleasant time at the guest house, the welcome chocolates were great and Danny our host also gave us many useful tips and recommendations for our travels! Room was clean, WiFi was good, nothing much to complain about.
Upon arrival the innkeeper was no where to be found. Lucky the front door was unlocked. Between room keys left on the front desk and another resident and a room with an open door we settled into the room we thought was ours. Never saw innkeeper in three days. We also tried to help other arrivals during that time get to their rsvp rooms
We loved staying at the Old Library Lodge in Arisaig at this historic inn with a beautiful view of the harbor. They also provided us with excellent breakfasts and dinners at the inn. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and was just wonderful. The owners are very friendly and try to help guests to have a wonderful time. We appreciated being able to have tea and coffee with cookies in the room. We hope to return to staying in this inn again.
Rustic and beautiful, this hotel is a must for anyone traveling the North 500, or just visiting Scotland! It had the feel of a luxury hunting lodge with all the amenities. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The ground and the building are right out of a fairy tale. Absolutely brilliant.
We had a large room with a great water view and a spacious bathroom, which was a nice surprise after two previous B&Bs in the Highlands that had very small bathroom facilities. The innkeeper also gave us some very good advice on a driving route, which was much appreciated.
having booked several properties for our tour of Scotland it had slipped my mind that our choice at Innisfree Guest House was a studio so it was a lovely surprise to find on check in that we had a very nice sitting room along with a bedroom and en suite. Everything was well presented, very clean and comfortable.
Great hosts who were always happy to assist with ideas for places to go and also they opened up dining room so we could have dinner in house. Room was very clean and shower was the best we have experienced across over 15 guest houses we have stayed at on this trip.
