Overlooking Stonehaven harbour, The Ship Inn was built in 1771 and offers modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi and rooms with flat-screen TVs. Everything. The location was ideal. The room was amazingly comfortable. The staff were lovely. The food was fantastic. The whiskey equally fantastic.

Balmoral Arms is situated in village of Ballater, in the centre of Royal Deeside. The property offers open log fires and free WiFi. We had a wonderful stay at the Balmoral Arms. Ou room (a junior suite) was beautiful, definitely worth the upgrade as we wanted something a bit special. Everything is clean and seems recently renovated but it hasn't lost its charm. The food was fantastic, we really liked being able to eat in the pub as our dog was allowed to join us there and we liked the atmosphere better than the restaurant area anyway. The staff were kind enough to set up breakfast for us in the lounge every day so our dog could join us there too. When they say they're dog friendly at this place they really mean it! We felt so welcome and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. We hope to be back some day!

Situated in Whitehills, 1.2 km from Inverboyndie Beach, Seafield Arms Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. As a family of 5, we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was very spacious, comfortable beds, big bathroom. As a Pub Bn'B it was great and excellent value for money. Aside from the actual accomodation, 2 other reasons Seafield Arms is a must do are 1) The food in the restaurant. Its amazing and spans classic pub fare made to perfection (I had the lasagne burger which is not exactly as it sounds) to bordering on fine dining level cuisine (if its on the menu that day you have to try the crab bisque - its exceptional). 2) they put a lot of effort into the beer garden and nailed it. They've managed to capture a vibe you can't achieve just by throwing money at something. Plus it has a nice play area for kids that my children didn't want to leave. The actual bar was packed when we arrived for a football game so its obviously popular with the locals too. Bonus points here if you're a Man U fan.

Newburgh Inn is located 10 minutes from Aberdeen and Ellon, a 5-minute walk from a sandy beach and Forvie National Nature Reserve, home to a seal colony. Perfekti place. Lovely place for visit in Forvie sands nature reserve.

The Ardennan House Hotel is a charming Scottish family run hotel which has been renovated to a nice standard with modern, comfortable furnishings. All of the above, we enjoyed our stay immensely and the staff were so efficient and easy to talk to. Our room was clean every day. Room 17 was the best room for us. We had delicious meals there, including the breakfasts. We met lots of travelers from all over the place. Thanks to everyone who attended to our every need.

Set in Ballater and with Balmoral Castle reachable within 18 km, The Green Inn Rooms offers a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Great property in an amazing location. The welcome glass of wine was a nice touch but the main reason I would stay again, is the service levels. The owners really went above an beyond to make sure we were happy. Will definitely recommend to a friend!

Situated in Inverurie, 27 km from Beach Ballroom, The Banks Of Ury features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a bar. The great people who staff this Hotel are really First Class. They made our stay even better. the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we've had in years....in fact since the last time we stayed there.
