The Southern Belle is a 19th century luxury boutique hotel and bar with cocktail lounge, offering accommodation adjacent to the Brighton seafront. Unexpectedly wonderful. Authentic. Didn't expect a pub but turned out to be a plus. Very good food for both dinner and breakfast. Spacious room with modern bathroom. Nicest people.

Our room was very confortable and relaxing, employees were very nice, especially to accommodate a solution for our dog, and the house, garden included, is very beautiful. In addition, very close to Sheffield Park and not far from Newhaven harbor for travellers like us coming from France, it’s very convenient.

Choices of cereals, juices, milks and yoghurts. Choice of white or brown bread. Tea or coffee offered. I took the full english breakfast, with choice of eggs (poached, scrambled or fried (sunny or over easy). Generous portions, quickly cooked and the service was outstanding. We will gladly return to the Two Sawyers, and are alredy planning our next visit.

Just over a mile from Eastbourne Pier on the south coast and 20 miles from Brighton, this award-winning inn has a great location 2 minutes’ walk from the sea. Our room was very pleasant and the food was great (we had the full English breakfast and Sunday roast). The bathroom was very large with good storage and plenty of heating. Staff were very friendly and it was nice to stay at a family-run business that locals also enjoy visiting. The pub atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. It was great being located close to the start of the Seven Sister's cliff walk. The bus stop was close by and we caught the bus to the Seven Sisters Country Park and walked back to Eastbourne along the cliffs. The parking lot was also very convenient as we had driven down from London. The Pilot Inn made our stay in Eastbourne very enjoyable.
