We had booked a family room which was in fact a self contained arrangement of 2 separate rooms, a small landing area with tea and coffee making facilities and two armchairs. Both rooms were decorated with interesting period prints and paintings. Towels were ample in quantity and very soft. The beer was well kept (Harvey's Best Bitter), the atmosphere in the bar very inviting and calm. The bar staff - friendly and efficient. The breakfast was superb and with generous portions. The owner served us and was most friendly and considerate.
