Rafael and Sol we’re just wonderful. Tjhe proximity to the beach and ocean were great. The staff was so helpful. They helped us arrange transportation from the airport, including a van and taxi boat, as well as boat transportation the next day to enjoy the islands and go to our next hotel destination. So nice!

Set in Baru, Mio Mio Beach offers beachfront accommodation 100 metres from Playa Blanca and offers various facilities, such as a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. This beach club is an hour from Cartagena. Go by boat or car. If by car walk down to the beach then walk along the beach 3 KM or better take a water taxi for 15.000. I walked back and forth a few times and Mio Mio is one of the nicest hotels on the beach. 7 rooms. 2 are new and on 2nd floor w full ocean view.. All rooms have bathrooms. Conserve water. Staff is helpful and friendly but at times like most Latin American staff you need to be persistent in getting their attention. Food was good by Colombian standards (Mexicans would just laugh) and beer was cold and available. I heard at times they don't have water bc it's brought in by boat. When the sea is rough they can't get it. So use sparingly! Seriously super fast showers. Every drop is precious. Day beds are comfy. Great little vibe. They've done a lot recently to improve so ignore old reviews. I'd return!!!!

Baru Jet Set Beach & Hostal features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Playa Blanca. Very natural with stunning views. Food was great and authentic.
