Dombresson
Just 15 minutes’ drive from Neuchâtel, the family-run Hotel de Commune offers on-site ski hire, ski storage and rooms with wood furniture. Its restaurant has a terrace and serves locally sourced cuisine. This is a hidden gem located in a quaint town in the Swiss Alps. The hotel looks unassuming from the outside but the rooms were newly remodeled. The owner was amazing. He even offered us an extra room for free so all four of us didn’t need to be together in one room. All of the staff were super kind and helpful. The restaurant located on the main floor of the hotel was exceptional with a Michelin recognition. Very traditional French cuisine. The included breakfast had some of everything: pear tart, croissants, mini crème brûlée, fruits, meats, several cheeses and breads, oatmeal etc. if I could give them more than a 10 I would. we would definitely stay here again.
Saint Aubin Sauges
Set in Saint Aubin Sauges, Hôtel de la Béroche has a garden and a bar. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a private bathroom and free WiFi.
At Hôtel de la Béroche, all rooms include a wardrobe.
Clean, cosy, comfortable authentic hotel, with old-fashioned historical antique elements, situated in the beautiful old district with fantastic athmosphere, friendly, welcoming staff, easy parking. Highly recommended.
Le Paquier
The beginning of the Transjurassienne cross-country skiing trails is just steps away. Many hiking possibilities are also around Bonne Auberge. Neuchatel and Lake Biel can be reached by car in 30 minutes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We hiked here and we're happy to have comfortable rooms and comfy beds. Dinner was spectacular, one of the best tatar we have had until now!
Couvet
An 18th century inn, Couvet’s Hotel de l'Aigle enjoys peaceful surroundings in the countryside. The restaurant uses regional products and serves traditional Swiss cuisine. Wi-Fi and private parking are available free of charge. Absolutely remarkable hidden gem, this hotel. While on the outside it looks like an outdated old inn, inside, the rooms are renovated and well-equipped and very very spacious. The steam shower in our room was positively brilliant (although, as far as I understand, not all rooms have such a shower). The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, the breakfast was carefully packed in order to comply with corona requirements. We appreciated the free parking. We'd definitely come here again for a longer stay!
La Ferrière
Dating from 1688, this historic hotel in the village of La Ferrière is just a 10-minute drive from La Chaux-de-Fonds. It offers free Wi-Fi and a balcony in each room.
The rooms at Logis de la Licorne are furnished in a traditional Jura style with wooden furniture and floors.
The hotel is located in a Jura hiking area; if you travel by car, in a short distance there are numerous parking lots for hikers.
The room was basic, but sufficient, clean and totally fitting to description. The hotel stands on the busy road, but we got a room on the other side, and it was perfectly quiet. The heating was perfect for the cold nights of early May.
The restaurant on site is OK - nothing exciting, but, again, quite sufficient if you need an evening meal. It serves only meat dishes, but not a problem for us.
A real hidden gem of the hotel is a spa room which one can book for private use; it is equipped with a modern jacuzzi and electric sauna. It is well worth the price and extremely good after the busy hiking day. Highly recommended!

Dinner, but breakfast was a bit lacking.
The hotel was very nice. The manager, Edward, was wonderful. Dinner at the restaurant was one of the finest meals we have ever had and we are foodies.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We hiked here and we're happy to have comfortable rooms and comfy beds. Dinner was spectacular, one of the best tatar we have had until now!
The most beautiful property in a small traditional Swiss village. The hotel is in excellent condition with some charming pieces of furniture. The breakfast consisted of local produce and the coffee was great. There is a beautiful terrace to sit on, which is perfect for a warm summer evening. We arrived on the bicycles and were able to secure them safely and take a shower straight away before walking down into the town for some dinner.
Well located, modern inn, with a spacious room and a nice private bathroom (we rented the room with a private bath on the second floor). Mere steps from the action but with a more local feel. The Neuchátel tourist card awaited us on the bed so we did not need to ask for it. Coffee and tea are included, available in the room where they otherwise serve breakfast in the morning (which we did not try). Had everything we needed. Nice little pizzeria (Colonia Libera Italiana) on the street right behind it.
Rustic, simple, very clean room and excellent mattress
Room size and view; breakfast; dinner; the reception staff and the staff in the restaurant. All very helpful and kind. Also superb mattress and bedding. Great walk in shower and towels of excellent quality.
Our room was directly on the lake. and view was breathtaking and very romantic. Mini bar is good enough and prices are not expensive. You will have a small bottle of Monet in the mini bar in case you want a celebration. We had Jacuzzi in the bathroom. We like the view so much and stayed at the room for the dinner and enjoyed the view in the balcony. Breakfast buffet was not too big but very well and made us happy with the options. Everything was very delicious and fresh. Stuff was also very nice and helpful. Park was free which is a plus.
We had an excellent dinner and a good breakfast. Our bikes were safely looked in a separate room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good value for money.
Everything was very easy, from the parking to feel so welcome at the hotel. They offered the bar to have a take-away dinner (as restaurants were still closed). Very interesting decoration at the bar and also the stories the owners have to share. Great breakfast!
