Det familjeägda Landgasthaus Neues Bild, Eggersengen ligger omgivet av kullar och berg i en historisk byggnad, 10 minuters bilresa från centrala Appenzell. Extremely friendly and welcoming. It is a great location in the peaceful countryside but with easy access to Appenzell and all of the nearby lifts. Breakfast is included, and a lovely restaurant offers delicious meals. Corinne was a fantastic host.

Adler Hotel ligger i en vacker, traditionell byggnad i Appenzell-stil, intill Appenzells bilfria centrum. Här erbjuds gratis Wi-Fi och fast internet, frukostbuffé och en laddningsstation för elbilar. Under vår vistelse borrades det för bergvärme precis utanför hotellet. Vi blev informerad om detta i god tid före ankomst. Som kompensation blev vi uppgraderade till en svit och slapp betala turistskatt. Eftersom vi bokade tre nätter fick vi mycket fina erbjudande via Appenzell-kortet. Bland annat resorna med tåg till och från Appenzell betalda samt fria resor i närområdet. Utöver detta tre fria turer med olika linbanor samt flera andra erbjudande samt gåvor.

Waldgasthaus Lehmen omges av orörd natur och ligger 4 km från Weissbad i kantonen Appenzell. Här erbjuds rum i alpin stil och en charmig restaurangterrass. We stayed 2 nights beginning of June. If you like traditional places, you should visit Waldgasthaus Lehmen. You would be surrounded by natural forest with a view on Appenzell Alps. One of the most common sound during the day is various bells on cow necks. We were lucky to see how Appenzell farmers bring their cows to the mountains. The farmers have very beautiful cloths! On Saturday we saw a group of farmers, who came in their traditional dresses to Lehmen restaurant and had a few hours of singing and enjoying food. The restaurant is very good, if you like Swiss food. You must be hiking in that region, otherwise food might be too heavy. I had pork steak, pork schnitzel and beef steak with noodles and mushrooms. All dishes were very tasty. You have to try local beer! And Lehmen whisky! Highly recommended! Very nice! Service is impeccable, fast and attentive. All personnel is very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful! I would prefer, if it started at 7 instead of 8… Our room 17 was great, soft pillows, comfy beds, bath, simple but cozy design. The hotel has a playground for kids. Parking is huge.

Hotel Restaurant Belvedere har ett lugnt läge i Weissbad och omges av en park med en gräsmatta för solbad och en lekplats. Här erbjuds gratis Wi-Fi och utsikt över bergen. Ideal location, not too far from the train station. We started all of our walks from the hotel which was very convenient. Beautiful views from our room. The owners were very polite and friendly. Our breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal there also. We will definitely return.

Landgasthof Eischen ligger vid foten av bergskedjan Säntismassiv och berget Kronberg. The view was amazing, room was so comfortable and the entire property was beautiful! The staff was so kind and welcoming too!
