I suffered diarrhoea before arrival & felt ill on arrival. Kind receptionist made me & brought local remedy drink to my room & happily allowed check in at 11.30am. Liked room balcony. Liked large, airy breakfast room with half glass walls on 3 sides. Great view.

This is a great place to wake early and look for the condors and many many other birds. The grounds are a stunning garden of flowers and sweet-smelling herbs. It was fantastic having a slow morning soaking in the views and enjoy the stunning scenery. The dinner was one of our best in Peru, which we did not expect! Terrific soups, perfectly cooked meat and wonderful flavors. We had herbal tea freshly picked from the garden.

The had warm showers and really comfy beds with extra blankets. The also got a hairdryer if you ask them. The breakfast was amazing and they even got a pizza oven, where they serve fresh pizza for dinner. Ludwig and his partner are incredibly warm, hospitable and knowledgeable about hiking in the area. They took time to walk us through various hikes, gave us a map (that they made and which is incredible).
