Just a 3-minute walk from Miyanoura Port, Yado Seven Beach offers non-smoking Japanese rooms with free Wi-Fi and an LCD TV. It has a free-use internet station, free coffee/tea and a shared-use microwave.

The host and her staff were really friendly. They let us check in early since the room was ready. Room was clean and futons were comfortable. The shower room was bigger than expected, although it’s shared they were very clean. The simple breakfast was a good start to our day. Location was convenient. Overall, great stay.

What a unique experience, right on the beach looking overlooking the yellow pumpkin by Yayoi Kusama!! The bbq dinner on site was recommended to us by hotel staff as there’s not much open in the evenings and I highly recommend it. It was super unique and a nice way to enjoy the campsite, we told them we were vegetarian which was no issue, we didn’t feel like we were missing out because we were given so many vegetables and tofu types to grill. The private bath was also a fun authentic experience they offer.

There is a lot to like about Bamboo Village guest house - including the excellent personalised customer service. Great location if you don't mind walking a hill. Lovely outlook. I had a room with ensuite.

Breakfast was available at a cafe about 5 minutes walk. The house is a charming old style Japanese property overlooking the local fishing harbour. The hosts were very helpful, picking us up from the ferry and booking dinner on two nights ( highly recommended since few options). The hosts live off-site. There is an excellent selection of art books in the house and easy access to the Benesse House area.

Beautiful Japanese minka house made into a guest house. The guest house was very cozy and I enjoyed chatting with the other guests in the kitchen and living room. The house is just stunning and it was such a joy staying there in the heart of Honmura area. It is opposite Ando museum and Art House: Minamidera. I was also given a 100¥ discount on the café opposite. The hosts also work at Cafe Salon Nakaoku which is another beautiful restaurant and a must-visit! Do make a reservation with the GH for dinner. :)
