We only stayed for one night but the owner was wonderfully helpful. The room overlooked a small piazza but it was very quiet at night. The rooms were furnished with nice antique pieces and comfortable beds.

They made reservations for our dinner, dropped us off and picked us up. Likewise, with horseback riding. They even pulled our car out of the ditch when our GPS took us down the wrong road. We brought home the honey, lavender and olive oil, all fantastic!

There are lots of walking paths around, so if you get tired of lying by the pool, you can always enjoy the surroundings on foot.

Our room had a small roof terrace with perfect view, you can spend your day there, it’s that good. You can make day trips to Arezzo, or just hike around the castle. The dinners prepared by the owner of the locanda, were the best restaurant experience we had our entire trip, maybe even from all our Italy experiences.
