Beautiful Cotswold hotel in a quiet area free from the shopping tourists. Lower and upper slaughter are what Bourton-on-the-water use to be. It is quiet, pretty and has access to a number of country walks. Bourton is an easy walk away so you don't have to fight for parking spots. Breakfast is wonderful as is all aspects of the restaurant and the very friendly staff. They can't do enough for you. Our room was a good size. the bed was big and very comfortable. The room also had a very functional desk. The bathroom is a good size and water pressure is good. Heating is effective and easy to manage. The hotel is very quiet with beautiful grounds and surrounding areas.

Freshly made cooked breakfast with plentiful options. Locally sourced selection which was very impressive. Copious amounts of tea/coffee and fresh juices. The room was quaint, comfortable and clean, with additional tea facilities within the room. Additionally, bottled water was placed either side of our bed. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Chris really went out of his way to ensure our break was memorable. We would return just to see him again. We booked in for the dinner on the second evening. Goodness me, it was first class. I highly recommend the Plough Inn, Cold Aston as a 'must visit' on your visit to The Cotswolds

Dinner was excellent. Although, seated alone, I felt overlooked at times. Bigger tables make more money.

Best breakfast we’ve had for years! The food was excellent both for breakfast and dinner. The bed was huge and comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious. I particularly liked the L’occitane products. The Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Dinner was beautiful, especially my venison, it was superb Breakfast was very good, served fresh and hot, which is just how we like it. We didn’t however see any signs of continental breakfast so were a little disappointed as we had spoken to 2 other guests, who had said it was very good and that we should try the croissants as they were delicious. The staff were very pleasant and attentive

Lovely hotel. Comfortable rooms, and a warm welcome. The vibe here is very cool with lots of great photography and art all around. We didn’t eat in the hotel which was a shame - we had booked our stay short notice so restaurant dining times were limited. We chose to eat at the sister property - Slaughters Country Inn across the road which was really nice. Hotel breakfast was superb. Would be very happy to stay here again.

This property was festively decorated, very clean, and super comfortable -- everything was top notch. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I'll definitely recommend and book rooms here for clients. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant one evening; it was wonderful! Also had a more casual dinner in the bar/lounge area on the last evening, and once again, everything I ordered was excellently prepared and presented. Your staff members are very kind, energetic, & thoughtful -- I loved my stay here!
