In the small village of Great Clifton, on the west coast of the Cumbrian Lake District, this charming inn was converted from a 17th-century farmstead and offers comfortable, characteristic accommodation in en-suite rooms with tea and coffee-making facilities, including a complementary full Cumbrian grill breakfast.

Your comfort is our aim at this family-run hotel.

At a recent health inspection, we were awarded 4 stars by Cumbria Tourism.

Resting by the A66 motorway for Workington, The Hall Park Hotel self check in is situated opposite parkland and only a 2 minute walk from the town centre which has recently undergone a 45 million pound regeneration project. There are numerous golf courses nearby and we are a good base for the coast to coast cycle way.

The room was excellent. Clean, comfy and quiet. It was better than we expected. We spent lovely time there. I can not find any weakness of the Hotel. Brilliant staff, great place and amazing room :)

A 400-year-old coaching inn, just 3.6 miles from Cockermouth, the Old Posting House offers traditional bed and breakfast accommodation, views of the Fells, free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking.

The Old Posting House guest house is 10 minutes from Lowes Water and 25 minutes from Keswick and Derwent Water. The seaside is a 20-minute drive from the inn.

Very welcoming upon arrival. The hosts are very friendly. Breakfast and evening meal was excellent. Would definitely stay there again. Ideal location for Cockermouth and Keswick.

Set in Dearham, 26 km from Buttermere, The Old Mill Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Offering a bar, the property is located within 30 km of Derwentwater. This pet-friendly inn also has free WiFi.

Very clean and spacious, attractive room, huge comfortable bed with good quality bed linen, big TV, spacious bathroom, large shower cubicle and great towels, first meal in the restaurant was delicious (beef bourguignon), good local ale at a reasonable price, breakfast was mixed but full English was very good. Dark haired lady on duty on our first night was lovely, friendly and very professional (apologies for not having a name). Contact via the app was good and the code access worked well. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location that can be used as a base to visit the Lake District. Large, clean, room, friendly staff and free parking for guests. I'd highly recommend reserving a table at the hotel restaurant for dinner. We had a fabulous meal, the waiters were really attentive and the sticky toffee pudding we had for dessert was to die for. Would go back for the restaurant alone.

The staff were so lovely and friendly. Lovely location. The price we paid for the stay was spot on. The bed seemed to be new and was huge. Very clean room and in the hotel. The hotel bar areas and dinning areas were very up to date and modern. Think maybe we were just in an older room. It wouldn't put me off staying here again. We had a fantastic weekend. The food was good. We ate in the hotel every night and breakfast was fabulous.
