I loved Fuente el Haydo! A warm welcome from the kindly proprietor. A spotless and comfortable room. A bathtub for a weary peregrino after 35km. Expansive views to watch the sunset and moonrise over the Eastern edge of the Picos. A supremely warm and kind proprietor—-lovely hospitality in a tranquil setting 800 meters above the bustling town. We had a brief stay for just one night, the host couldn’t have been more relaxed and helpful with us. Although just inland it’s a great location for accessing different surf beaches. Two nice bars very close with good local food. If you like a rural house and the sound of nature then I recommend this property.

This is a beautiful part of the world. The room is simple and modest size with ensuite. They also have a cosy warm breakfast/living room, with a sofa and fireplace which we used while it was raining. They also have a well equipped kitchen where you can make lunch/dinner. The breakfast was €3.75 and was very simple - coffee, juice, toast, and a small cake from a packet. Thank you very much for having us!

The hosts were very friendly, we had a small chat in the bits of Spanish we could muster. The room itself was spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful. Parking was tricky but we managed to find a space quite a bit away from the hotel. Breakfast was good and well organised, given all the Covid restrictions. Didn't try the food in the restaurant, but the terrace was a great place for pre-dinner drinks. A bit away from the town centre crowds.
