Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
We stayed at the Overlook Inn & Cabins on the way to Jasper NP. Colin at the front desk is nice and friendly. We were given room W8 which has a kitchenette, dining table and cooking utensils, enough to make a meal for two. The room is rather basic, but the bathroom fixtures are very new.
Well-equipped room with plenty of space. The showswtopper, though, was the unbelievable view over the lake from the terrace. The inn is right next to the public beach, so you can nip out for a swim without having to take everything to change with you. Didn't meet any staff, but it seemed well organised.
super friendly owner, the cottage was large, super clean and very cozy. They have animals on their farm plus a small pond where you can use a canoe. We ordered dinner beforehand and enjoyed a delicious meal in our cottage.
Nice, clean and recent hotel with everything you need including laundry ! Located right at the beginning of the clearwater Provincial Park with all the falls.
Room was large, clean and comfortable. It was nice to sit on the balcony and the breakfast was great. Also lovely to have a restaurant attached where we had a lovely dinner.
The cabins are in a very strategic location on a road trip to Jasper National Park. The room was big; we had good Wi-Fi and a kitchen with the essentials to warm up dinner/breakfast. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfy and we had toilet/bathroom essentials provided.
I must confess I had my trepidations, but I'm happy to say we had a wonderful stay at Wells Gray Inn. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with a good shower.
I think I read/heard there is new management, if that's the case they're doing a great job turning the place around. Keep up the good work!
Enjoyed a really good meal in the bar area and I wish could put a name to the waitress (blonde girl), but she was really nice and helpful as well as great fun to chat too.
