We had a wonderful 3 night stay at aha Thakadu River Camp. The staff were very hospitable and friendly. The food most enjoyable with Lunch, afternoon tea, Dinner and hearty Breakfasts! All your needs provided for in the spacious and very comfortable rustic tent/huts with own balconies by the river. Added to all this, the game drives provided us with amazing and some lucky sightings of the BIG FIVE and we saw ALL- Leopards, Lions, Buffalo, Elephants and Rhinos as well as cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, various antelope, various birds, wild dogs, hyenas, warthogs and more, enjoying early morning tea/coffee with delicious fresh muffins and early evening drinks with assortment of nibbles. Sunsets and amazing vistas with mountains...what more could one ask for!

The location is very remote and there were tons of animals all around the lodge. We loved the elephants that came to the watering hole each day. The service, food, accommodation, game drives were all excellent and exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I loved everything about this experience. The location is superb - right in the middle of the reserve, surrounded by wild animals but the camp is secure, as it is surrounded by electric fencing. The staff was magnificent, the food was gourmet, our room was the perfect blend of luxury and roughing it. We loved our stay and hope to return!

Aha Thakadu River Camp is one of those places where you can find a great safari combined with the comfort of a camp with all the small extras that make you feel at home. Great staff willing to help out and service aboove and beyond. Great safari game rides with excellent guides that explain all along the rides. Superb and diverse food served at lunch and dinner. We stayed at a very nice luxury tent on the river. Had a great time.

I had an amazing time at Thakadu. Such great value for the price! Food: The meals were wonderful - coffee and tea before we left for the game drive in the morning, an excellent spread for breakfast, a light lunch, then tea and coffee before our afternoon game drive and delicious dinner after we got back. Plus snacks during the game drives themselves! Accommodations: The tents were beautiful and inviting, with big glass doors to appreciate nature. The beds were nice and warm in the evening with heated blankets. Felt very luxurious. Staff: The entire staff was welcoming and kind. Our game drive ranger Thiamo was exceptional! He was always very attentive to which animals we wanted to see, doing a great job in time management and in seeking them out while sharing interesting info about them. To make us feel more comfortable in the chilly mornings and evenings, we were given hot water bottles and blankets to warm us up.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, from the game drives to dining, they exceeded expectations. The property was stunning with wildlife so close to/on the premises. The ranger knew so much about the animals and hustled to find the animals we wanted to see most.
