The Magtree lodge is fantastic and really secluded and the surrounding nature and wildlife (giraffes!) is stunning. Loved the layout of the place and the kitchen had everything we needed too cook our meals. Really love the fact that the fireplace also doubles as a braai, for rainy days. Absolutely love the warm welcome from Craig and the recreational area. Love the fact that I didn't have to worry about getting wood for the braai and fireplace fire. While we were there on mostly rainy days, we made use of the splash pool which would come in really handy when you're visiting in the summer. Also dogs! If you love dogs, this is the place for you!

Nestled in the valley of Houtboshoek and surrounded by grassy hills, Caracal Lodge is located a 45-minute drive from Nelspruit. The units at Caracal Lodge combine elegance with a rustic bush-style atmosphere. Each has a seating area and patio, kitchen facilities and a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy garden and mountain views. Some of the units have their own private plunge pool. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including cycling, fishing and hiking. The lodge is home to free roaming giraffe and other small game can be spotted in the area. There is also a cave located in a gorge next to a waterfall and staff can organize mountain drives in a 4x4 vehicle. The lodge is 31 mi from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.
