If you prefer to dine out, try the local cuisine ranging from lobster-in-the-rough to world-class gourmet. Search for restaurants with live music or enjoy it later at island bars and nightclubs. Whether you choose to spend your time on the South Shore or North Shore of the island, the Atlantic Ocean has more than enough activities to keep your group entertained. Go windsurfing, parasailing, boating, fishing, jet skiing and so much more! If you prefer calmer waters, be sure to stay along the Vineyard and Nantucket Sound as these areas are better for families. July and August are the area’s busiest seasons bringing in large weekend crowds for Fourth of July and Labor Day. If you typically try to avoid traveling during holiday weekends but would still like to come during a busy time, June and September are great.
