I grew up in the village and have been to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro for 60 times! I'm your host and the Manager of Shimbwe meadows. Our guesthouse is located about 40 min drive from Moshi town up the amazing Kilimanjaro. the road is surrounded by beautiful banana farms, rivers and valleys, and lots of smiling faces of our village people. Shimbwe Meadows Guest House is located in the small Kilimanjaro village Shimbwe. It is a rural and quiet place and will provide a true Tanzania experience for you. Amongst tourists it is not very well known (yet) and is therefore not as busy as other locations around Kilimanjaro - things go pole pole here (slowly, slowly).
