Casa do Mestrinho (Licence 2832/AL) Located in a peaceful, and extremely beautiful semi-rural area, 100 meters away from the Douro river. You can take nice walks along the river, have your meals in the garden under the shade of vines and have a good night sleep in a very quiet place. What makes this unique? You can visit the city (not only Oporto, the closest one, but also Guimarâes, Braga, Vila do Conde, Viana do Castelo) and, when returning home, eat and sleep like if you were in the field. The place, called Espinhaço, was inhabited at least since the eighteenth century, mostly by fishermen. It is an ancient village with narrow, winding streets. Today it is a place of good-natured simple people. In the village of avintes we highlighted as the main landmark the Gaia Biological Park, interesting project of nature conservation. Located only 9Km from Porto center, near the main highways that connect the north and south of the country.
