The stay was wonderful with a very well thought out design that allowed my family to come and go in a relaxing environment, but also offered some nice amenities for when we just wanted to relax. The warming fireplace in the lobby was a gret touch, and the staff were very helpful when needed.

Bamboo-Hill Sasaoka offers spacious Japanese-style guestrooms and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. From the hotel it's just a 5-minute walk to Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, and a 15-minute drive to JR Togari Nozawa Onsen Station. Rooms are fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. They come with a TV and a leg-warming heated table. Bathroom and toilet are shared. Sasaokaso Bamboo-Hill offers ski equipment rentals and free luggage/ski equipment storage services. Dry rooms and drinks vending machines are on site. There are many communal hot spring baths around the property like Matsuba no Yu, a 2-minute walk away. Carefully prepared Japanese meals using homegrown rice and vegetables are offered at the dining room. Hearty Japanese breakfast is served there, as well.
