Glamping Abruzzo - The Yurt is set in sublime countryside, 4 km outside Catignano and 30 km from Pescara. It is situated in olive groves and 5 hectares of private grounds. Air conditioning is available in the summer months, and there is a wood-burning stove in winter. Guests also have free WiFi, use of a BBQ, a hot tub and a picnic basket full of delicious things for breakfast. Towels, bed linen and a hairdryer are provided at Glamping Abruzzo - The Yurt. You can engage in various activities, such as cycling, kayaking, fishing and hiking, as well as archery. In winter, the area is popular for skiing. Free private parking is provided and free use of bicycles is available at the property. The nearest airport is Abruzzo Airport, 22 km from the property. Rome's Fiumicino International Airport is 3 hours away by car or express bus.

This elegant yurt is set in it's own sublimely peaceful two acre biodynamic olive grove, with sweeping views to the Maiella mountain. Part of a small organic farm, thirty minutes from the Abruzzo International Airport, at Pescara, and just a two hour and a half hour drive from Rome. There are several National Parks within a short distance where one may experience the amazing scenery and fine cuisine of Abruzzo.
Of English origin, I moved to Italy in 1995 and now produce a really beautiful organic olive oil from our farm, using biodynamic methods. Here guests have the opportunity to experience a working olive farm first hand, whilst being well situated to explore the many and varied delights of Abruzzo.
Abruzzo is, as yet, an undiscovered gem in the heart of Italy; blessed with a myriad of glorious, unspoilt villages and magnificent National Parks, where chamois, bears and wolves may still occasionally be seen under the right conditions . In winter you can ski on uncrowded pistes with often spectacular weather conditions. In summer, the 3000 meter mountain ranges of the Gran Sasso and Maiella offer a sublime trekking and mountaineering experience. Although a small rental car, which we may arrange for you if required, undoubtedly has many advantages, we also provide two electric bicycles (for a small rental cost), for trips to the local piazza and shops, or to explore the countryside closer to home.
