I'm Heba, a ceramic artist and photographer, and I also run a workshop in the village. My husband Kristján runs the guesthouse with me and is a retired IT specialist: quality and security professional. We love serving breakfast with fresh home-baked soda bread and rye bread, Icelandic butter and cheese, Hamingju-Müsli, and Icelandic Skyr.

We established Guesthouse Heba in March 2015, dedicating the upper floor of our 200 sq. M house by the sea to the Bed and breakfast: Four rooms of 13-14 sq. M each. We invested in first-class hotel beds and hotel-grade linen our guests simply love.

The view from the balcony facing the ocean is wide and - stunning, people say! Unobstructed view of volcano Eyjafjallajökull (erupting in 2010) and Vestmannaeyjar islands (erupting in 1973). Toward west, we have seen the fumes of The Reykjanes Fires ("Eldar", 60 km away), a series of eruptions starting in 2021). Also, from the two rooms with a view towards the mountains, including Hekla the volcano (last eruption in the year 2000). In this quiet little village of five hundred inhabitants, you will find the famous lobster restaurant Fjöruborðið.
