This apartment is a short walk (an uphill walk from the town to the stay) away from the old town (ploce gate). Mara is a kind and wonderful host. The apartment was extremely practical, functional and very well decorated. Besides a well equipped kitchen and house, we really loved how it had basic but life saving things like a hand fan, sanitary pads, umbrellas, beach towels etc. The host really thought through the smaller details to make the stay more comfortable for the guests. Also, enjoyed our daily morning views of the sea from the breakfast corner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this place to anybody without any second thoughts.

Dubrovnik is a wonderful place to visit, but that also makes it a bit difficult to find a good accomodation. Especially when traveling by car like we did. We also did not have much time to spare during our road trip, so being in walking distance to the old town was a big benefit! In addition, the place is really as nice as all the good reviews suggest and the owner was always responsive, friendly and helpful. We did not get to meet her in person, but that was no problem at all. The apartment is well equipped and feels like a "real" home, living like a local. That there is no balcony is compensated by the big windows and bar-like sitting area in front of the kitchen window. For a longer stay, you will certainly enjoy having a washing machine and other useful equipment. We definitely recommend to visit the old town in the late afternoon and evening, when the cruise ship crowds are gone. It was an easy walk into town with great views over the bay along the way.

Mrs. Mara was super helpful and excellent in communicating all details to us before our arrival and during our check-in. She helped us locate the place and gave some great tips on where to eat and swim and how to travel in the city. The apartment looks new, and everything is clean. The bed was very comfortable. Small things do make a difference: We had a welcome drink Some cold water was waiting for us in the fridge There were some teas, milk, and coffee free to use in case you forgot suncream, Mrs. Mara kindly offers that too The Old City is 10-15 min down the hill. I recommend using Uber rather than local taxis, as taxi prices are unfair. We walked back too at night, and it was not hard.
