Shwmai (hello) I realise how fortunate I am to be living in such a beautiful place in Carmarthenshire, right on the coast. I have lived in this property for over 10 years but now I find that I need to downsize as everyone has flown the nest. On my doorstep is the cycle path where I cycle - but not often enough, a pebble throw from the beach and the water-park with its wildlife plus the Sandpiper which is a laid back family pub/restaurant. The Millennium Fields behind my property was a former industrial area that was transformed into the water park. The land where Duport Steel Works was located and where my father once worked is now a part of the park. Stradey Park Stadium, which was once the famous home of rugby for Llanelli, in particular back in 1972 on one of rugby's most famous upsets when we beat The All Blacks 9 -3. Stradey Park Stadium was demolished in 2010 and turned into a housing estate. The original goal posts from the stadium were moved to Sandy Water Park, while the rugby ground was relocated to the modern Parc-Y-Scarlets stadium.
