UTULA NATURE is a restorative retreat place in the beautiful wild nature of the Lake Saimaa archipelago, Finland. *We offer 2 or 3 night WELLNESS WEEKENDS on the following dates: Thu June 20th - Mon June 24th, Thu June 27th - Sun June 30th, Thu July 11th - Sun July 14th, Thu July 18th - Sun July 21st, Thu July 25th - Sun July 28th, Thu August 8th - Sun August 11th & Thu August 22nd - Sun 25th August. We offer a unique atmosphere cocooned by pure nature which is supported with calm plentiful relaxing spaces, soulful food, warm hosts and a weekend program to restore and relax, away from the pressures of daily life. We cater for people looking for a quiet serene place to retreat on the beautiful shores of lake Saimaa. All our prices are ALL INCLUSIVE; private accommodation, incl. bedding and towels, 3 delicious vegetarian buffet meals each day, daily lakefront sauna, use of Sup boards and rowing boat to explore the lake and islands. In addition, on our Wellness Weekends we organize varied events, such as cacao ceremonies, sound journeys, mindful movement classes etc., which are NOT INCLUDED in nightly price. WHAT TO EXPECT AT UTULA NATURE? We are situated on our own family owned 200m natural beach with a soft sandy bottom, perfect for swimming and bathing and a beautiful reed bay on the sauna beach. We have 5 accommodation rooms with 2 beds, 2 rooms in a twin lakeside view cottage and 3 forest cabins with 2 beds and a private mini-terrace. Rooms are sold as single occupancy or twin/double occupancy. Our shared facilities include: a main house on the beach with shared lounging and dining space including a large main terrace with panoramic lake views, a yoga tent for most of our group classes, a lakefront sun deck with lounge chairs, picnic tables and hammocks for relaxing and dining. wood-lit sauna and warm outdoor nature shower / washing area and 3 composting eco toilets. There are beautiful forest trails to a nearby panoramic public beach and we have a rowing boat, SUP boards and life jackets available for you to explore the nearby lake-shore and islands. We serve 3 tasty and soulful vegetarian buffet meals each day, our kitchen is a fusion of globally inspired recipes with a strong Mediterranean twist. Garlic, tomatoes, olives, cheeses and fresh herbs are very present in our kitchen. We have a beautiful young retreat dog Hani the Labrador retriever, who is friendly and social. The yoga tent and accommodation rooms are 100% anti-allergic areas. You can check into your room from 13:00. Check out is at 13:00 after lunch. We are bilingual, our operating languages are Finnish and English. Our weekend events are held in English.

Utula Nature is nestled deep in the nurturing South Karelian forests on the peaceful shores of Lake Saimaa, there are lots to see in the nieghbourhood. Some highlights are Kumakivi balancing rock, Parikkala sculpture park, Huuhanranta beach and Imatrankoski rapids. All are a short drive from Utula Nature. HOW TO GET HERE FROM HELSINKI? Fly to Helsinki, from the airport take a train to Imatra (2hr 30min), transfer by taxi to UTULA NATURE (45 min drive, can be arranged through us in advance). By car from Helsinki (4 hr) to UTULA NATURE For those arriving by public transportation, the nearest station is Imatra train station where it is possible to arrange a shared pick up (Tuesdays & Thursdays) & drop off (Sundays) at 14:00 for 45 euro each way, which is convenient to both arriving and departing trains to Helsinki.
