Entire spacious bright cottage is private, self-contained, separate keyed entry. Semi-attached to the main house sharing double walls without compromising privacy as both homes are separate. Newly appointed, all mod cons. Reverse cycle aircon & option to light the fire. Romantic WOW factor four poster queen bed! Chocolates, flowers & quality linen supplied. Sleeps 5- Three beds available. Four poster queen bed; single bed with innerspring mattress and double memory foam sofa bed in lounge. Kitchenette has cutlery, plates, glasses & cookware, kettle, toaster, microwave, sandwich toaster, portable mini electric hotplate, electric slow cooker & electric frypan. Large dining table, lounge area, leather sofa, large bathroom, shower, full bath & toilet. Tea, coffee, sugar & milk provided. Gas BBQ. Extensive gardens areas. I am a retired primary school teacher, and my husband a retired policeman. We now work in the travel industry and love to show people our beautiful country. We live on a beef cattle farm which is close to the surrounding beaches. We both love travelling, cycling, crafts and our beautiful country garden which is bursting with many fragrant roses and shrubs. Our life’s motto is 'you’re dead a long time, so make the most of every day'. IMPORTANT INFO: Please note we do not charge a bond but we do request information about your car registration, drivers licence and credit card details which will be recorded upon arrival for security purposes in case of excessive damage or theft. All information is kept strictly private and destroyed after checkout. If you use the wood fire this will incur an additional small fee per night for wood/extra cleaning as it is a user pay system. Please leave the cottage reasonably clean and tidy to avoid an excessive cleaning fee.
The cottage/apartment is 3km from Ocean Grove shopping complex and 2 Km from the Adventure Water Park. It is surrounded by numerous beaches, first-class boutique wineries, cider houses, restaurants, cafes, fresh farm mussels and gourmet food venues. Perfect rural setting without the bustle of the town. Close to rail trails for cycling/walking, nature reserves, golf courses, mini golf, marine parks & wetlands. We offer a unique blend of country style living on our working beef cattle farm in rural Wallington in the heart of the Bellarine Peninsula - 6km from Ocean Grove Beach, 8km Barwon Heads, 19 kms from Geelong. Car is essential for transport, however taxis and uber service is available. Enjoy the picturesque drive through the quaint town country coastal towns of Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Portarlington & St. Leonards. Discover the historic maritime town of grand old Queenscliff, marvel at the 360 degree ocean views from the Queenscliff Harbour Observation Tower & look over the new harbour area. Fairy Wren Cottage also has a prolific amount of bird-life & you may spot many varieties from parrots to wedge tailed eagles.
