I was originally going to be in Cat Ba for a single night, but extended it to three because of how comfortable this homestay was (one of the best I have experienced in Vietnam so far). It is run by a great family, and they are very good about making you feel comfortable and at-home. The rooms were very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the space was clean. I would highly recommend that you stay here if you are in the area! I had every question answered about Cat Ba by the first day, and was able to book motorbike rentals and tours through them :)

Situé sur la belle île de Cat Ba, le The Oversleep Catba Hostel est installé le long de la baie de Lan Ha, à seulement 10 minutes à pied du marché de Cat Ba et à quelques pas du terminal ferry. L’hôtel a été rénové il y a un mois et ça se voit. Il est simplement très sympa ! Le staff est bienveillant et à l’écoute ! Ils cherchent à s’améliorer alors qu’ils ont déjà mis la barre très haute ! Ils conseillent et aident pour les activités sans forcer la main des clients ! Tout les équipements sont neufs et c’est propre. Les chambres sont grandes et il y a 2 rangements par personne : 1 sous le lit pour les sacs de voyages (grand rangement pratique quand les lits sont superposés) et 1 au niveau de la tête de lit pour ranger ses affaires. Ils fournissent serviette, gel douche et shampoing. Gros point fort son bar/restaurant et sa piscine ! Tout est neuf et joli, fais avec goût ! Vraiment 10/10 ! Merci pour tout !

I had my own room which was clean, spacious and very quiet at night. Staff was very friendly and helped with everything like excursions, renting bikes and food recommendations, thank you guys:). All in all a great place to stay at the beautiful Cat Ba island.

He helped us organise a boat trip with kayaking and swimming, as well as recommending the nearby beach and a scenic route. We were only there for 2 days and 1 night and had to cut the second day short because of a storm warning. We would not have been able to maximise our time on Cat Ba without Vu! The hostel was also very comfortable, the loveliest staff at the downstairs restaurant, and would definitely recommend their mango smoothie, you will not regret it! There is also a rooftop bar with a great view of the harbour, where locals sometimes set off fireworks.

Ils ont été serviables et très gentils tout au long du sejour, me permettant de prolonger le séjour à Cát Bà , d'arriver plus tôt, de réserver les bus pour la suite... I spent three days in this beautiful place surrounded by mountains in the lush green nature! It's remote from city and that's it's previledge! There's great swimming pool and restaurant with good food! Staff was very helpful, they even picked me up from bus stop and dropped me off on day on my departure!! If I come again to Cat Ba I'll stay here for sure!! Thank you for everything!!
