I had an amazing time staying in Porto Santo Destination hostel! It was so calm and quiet, perfect space to wind down and especially during low season you get the ultimate perk of having basically no people at the beaches ;) Sofia the host was super friendly and helpful... couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Nice kitchen and facilities! Just keep in mind that you have to do groceries etc in the centre, as there's only a small restaurant around (which is cheap and good though). And it's a different island than Madeira itself, not everyone may know this ;)

Fantastic hosts - I only met Celio and not Jerry, but Celio was so kind and welcoming. I arrived late at night and he stayed up to welcome me, gave me a free beer after an exhausting day, and we had a lovely chat. The location is beautiful - right on the sea front and the sound of the waves coming in and out is really soothing. Celio also provided a lot of free breakfast foods which was very much appreciated, and one can eat out on the terrace by the waves in the sun. The parking is right near the property, which is helpful, and the town of Sao Vicente is only less than five minutes' drive away, and has a supermarket, restaurants, etc. Wifi was good, room was comfortable and well-proportioned (for one guest at least), and the price is unbeatable! Again, I can't overstate (i) the relaxing sound of the waves, and (ii) how great a host Celio is. Thank you Celio!

Dune Beach CoLiving ligger i Porto Santo, få skridt fra Porto Santo-stranden, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, fælles opholdsstue og terrasse. Rebecca, Francesco and [forgot name😬] are lovely hosts! Dune Coliving consists of two very nice houses, a beautiful garden and direct beach access. I can highly recommend this place!

29 Madeira Hostel set in the centre of Funchal, Madeira Island. The property offers budget accommodation in dormitories and private rooms. Loved this place, very homely feel right in the heart of Funchal. The ladies who run the place were lovely and very helpful. Felt right at home as a 23 year old solo traveller. Definitely will return in the future.

Boutique-vandrerhjemmet Santa Maria Hostel ligger i en traditionel og historisk bygning i Funchals gamle bydel og er indrettet i vintage-stil. The staff was super friendly and helpful with tips about restaurants, sightseeing...anything really. Arrival was super easy.

Casa De Cha Prazeres ligger i Prazeres, 25 km fra Porto Moniz' naturlige swimmingpools, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, fælles opholdsstue og terrasse. Amazing breakfast. Felix was lovely. Rooms were clean and large. Perfect for exploring the other end of Madeira

Jaca Hostel Funchal ligger i Funchal, 800 m fra Almirante Reis Strand, og har have, bar og havudsigt. Fredeligt og roligt. God central beliggenhed. Meget hjælpsomt personale.
