Punta Huanchaco Hostel in Huanchaco provides adults-only accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and water sports facilities. Gigi and Dario are some of the nicest people I’ve met in my many years of traveling in Peru. The vibe of this hostel is fantastic, and I had amazing conversations with everyone I met while staying here. Hot water, comfy bed, and lots of animals to love on made this the perfect place for me to stay. Gigi even gave me a front door key after I checked out to make sure I could come back and hang out in the public areas, which I really appreciated!

Offering a sun terrace and views of the sea, ATMA Hostel & Yoga is located in Huanchaco in the La Libertad Region, 11 km from Trujillo. It is in a very convenient location, close enough to walk everywhere and far enough to enjoy some quiet time. The atmosphere is definitely not a party party one but still sociable and friendly. All common areas are always clean and they offer filtered water which in Peru is quite important. The space is well thought and distributed so despite being fully booked, there was always room to chill, despite kitchen sometimes gettin a bit crowded. Would come back again and again!

Strenua - Las Quintanas is located in a commercial and residential area near the historic centre of Trujillo. This property is really nice, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Everything is clean, the rooms are spacious, at least the one we had. It included a bathroom, bedroom, a living room area, refrigerator, microwave. Our room here was bigger than some of the Airbnb properties we have been to. We thought it was nice that they bring your breakfast to you, since the rooms have a table area where you can eat. The shared kitchen has everything we needed. Hot water always available. The area that the hotel is in feels safe and is pretty close to everything, maybe 5 minutes' walk from the central plaza, very close to multiple grocery stores, lots of restaurants, etc. The place is located in a quiet street. The airport transfer service is reliable. Definitely one of the nicest places we've stayed in, if not the nicest.

Dream Place Trujillo offers rooms in Trujillo near Trujillo Municipality and Trujillo Main Square. Featuring a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Not fancy but more than comfortable and clean! They were able to let us check in early after a long bus ride which is much appreciated Roof top area to sit if you like. Best was Dennis who went above and beyond to help us book bus tickets online when the system kept timing out and wouldn’t take our credit card.

Hospedaje Restaurante El Hombre has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Puerto Chicama. A few steps from Playa Puerto Chicama, the property provides a private beach area. The best Hostel in Chicama by far. Great atmosphere in a great location. Along with all other travellers I met in my time at el hombres we stayed longer than expected. All the rooms and amenities are incredibly clean and comfortable. The communal kitchen is well equipped and the restaurant down stairs will not disappoint. This hostel caters for all walks of life and the staff are always willing to help. I recommend El hombre’s to anyone passing through the area. I will be back.

Boasting a bar, Pointbreak Surf Camp is situated in Huanchaco in the La Libertad region, 300 metres from Huancarute and 300 metres from El Mogote. The perfect place to be if you Look for a hodt that Makes you feel like this is your home immediately Great stuff Nice dogs Good surfer wave in Front and a rental Shop in the hostal but only 3.2mm Neoprenos The facilities get cleaned often but still people carrying Sand in the Hostel often Hot water available all the time

717 Pizarro guesthouse in Trujillo provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Martín is very nice and helpful. He took me to see the murals (a hidden gem in Trujillo) because I was short on time and helped me organize a tour for the day. He was very flexible and welcoming. The place is well situated in the center. Bed was comfortable.

Set in Puerto Chicama and with Playa Puerto Chicama reachable within 1.1 km, Hotel Los Burritos offers a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a restaurant. Los Burritos is a great place to stay for budget travellers looking for great value for money in an amazing location. The “small” room we booked was large and clean. Common areas include multiple terraces and a well equipped shared kitchen. Although there is a kitchen, check out the restaurant downstairs. The medium size pizza will feed 2 hungry surfers, and is very generous with toppings. Brian, the host, makes his own dough so the pizza is homemade from scratch. Finally, you can ask Brian anything and he will be happy to help you. Would happily return again.
