All of our questions answered (and there were lots of questions around yours what to do etc). The staff were so so informative with where to go how not to get into trouble pricing and much much more. They made this place as our first stop in Peru an incredible experience into the Peruvian people and how kind they are. The location of the hotel is perfect and close to everything that you will possibly need in Cusco. The rooms are comfortable and warm and quiet.

Hosts: The hotel is beautiful but the real highlights are Gelga and Romulo. I have never met hosts as hospitable, warm, and generous as they were. They went above and beyond to make sure I have a wonderful stay. Romulo and Gelga even help guests book and arrange the tours they want to do. They also provide warm compress every night, which is especially great during winter. Room and Facilities: The room and facilities were always kept clean and pristine. Laundry service is also available. Breakfast: Loved the breakfast!! Gelga and Romulo always made sure we had enough food and they always blended fruits in the morning to make us fresh and organic juice. Location: The hotel is 30 minutes away from the city center by taxi. The surrounding nature, however, makes up for the distance. It's right beside Templo de la Luna and a huge, huge, huge national park that you can explore freely. You can even go horseback riding if you want to. And Romulo can hike with you and give you a tour of the park and talk about its history. Pets: They have 2 dogs, Lupo and Sophie, and 1 cat, Whiskey - all of whom are well trained and very sweet. Overall, this is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in - - it's a place where you know and feel that the hosts truly care about you. You will not regret staying here. ❤️

Situated within 17 km of Huayna Picchu and 19 km of Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary, Lia B&B Lucmabamba features rooms in Sahuayacu. This pet-friendly hostel also has free WiFi. Amazing place! Freddy and Esther (and their daughter Lia) are super nice, when you stay here you become part of their family. Freddy took us on a coffee tour in the afternoon and explained everything about the coffee they produce and how everything works. The food we got here is amazing (both dinner and breakfast). The shower was nice and warm, and the bed was super comfy. As a bonus the stargazing on the football field next to the place was perfect as well. Definitely recommend!

Situated in Santa Teresa, 36 km from Huayna Picchu, Salkantay Hostel Chaullay has a garden, a restaurant and a bar. The property is non-smoking and is set 38 km from Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary. Manual was very friendly and accommodating. He helped us book our next night and provided great information about the trail. The comfy bed and hot showers were a warm welcome after a long hiking day.
