Situated within a 15-minute walk from Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenroku-en Park, Shaq Bighouse provides simple guesthouse accommodation. It features a café bar and a common lounge on the ground floor. I only stayed in Shaq bighouse overnight since there is no late transport in Kanazawa and I stay at a university dormitory. It was so affordable to stay overnight (at 2400 Yen) compared to taking a taxi. I also REALLY appreciate that he accommodated my late check-in request (near midnight) because of my late travel. I didn't really get a chance to experience the other facilities, but the bed was really nice and warm (this was already November). I hope to come back someday for an extended period of time and experience the restaurant downstairs!

SHARIN se află în Kanazawa, la 1,8 km de Castelul Kanazawa, și pune la dispoziție un lounge comun, un bar și parcare privată. thank you!! don’t usually leave reviews but: man who works here is super helpful and nice, definitely recommend to any solo / couple travellers!! inside is all equipped with a cosy bar, microwave/grill/kettle etc, really clean beds and bar, and location is perfect to visit anything in Kanazawa! felt so safe in the bunks with blackout curtains and locks on all the doors. mainly just felt really welcome by the staff who helped with recommendations etc where he could !! also had incredible japanese breakfast which was really good value (¥800) and very very yummy, he makes it for you in the morning for whatever time :))

Blue Hour Kanazawa is conveniently located just a 3-minute's walk away from Kanazawa Station. Everything! Perfect location for exploring Kanazawa. Clean dorms, good facilities.

Offering free WiFi throughout and a non-smoking environment, Guesthouse Namaste provides Japanese-style rooms, just a 7-minute walk from JR Kanazawa Train Station. The host is most courteous and helpful. He takes the trouble to explain about the places of interest. Very good experience with the tatami room too.

It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The surroundings are stunning, and it's very easy to go for a hike in nature. The staff is kind and helpful, always with a smile on their faces. Bear in mind that the stay is a bit remote, so it's hard to get there and move around the area if you don't have your own vehicle. Nevertheless, they will offer to pick you up and drop you off at the station, while also providing you with a bicycle once you get there. To me, this only added to the experience. There's a cafe where you can have something to eat from 10 am to 6 pm. Even though the food offering is limited, it is really tasty.

The guesthouse has a nostalgic flare, lots of wood, great atmosphere. We had ordered a veggie dinner and breakfast, and all was home made and good. We arrived after dark and after hours of rain on our motorbikes, and the hosts let us dry our gear in the main room which is much appreciated. // Our host also told us about the mountain road ahead which is forbidden for motorcycles. We were gutted but very happy he told us so we could plan our next day accordingly. // I would certainly stay again!
