This Icelandic horse farm provides accommodation in Haukadalur Valley, 90 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik. Overlooking Geysir, it offers a guest lounge, garden and horse riding tours. The place is near to the famous Geysir hotspring. And there is a camp site with a nice restaurant very close by. We had dinner there, and it was delicious. The next morning we enjoyed a wonderful horse riding. Lovely experience.

The Barn is located near the village of Vík between the Mýrdalsjölill Glacier and the southern coast of Iceland. This hostel provides free WiFi and complimentary parking on site. We just loved it! Everything was amazing, totally worth it! Stuff was kind, everythings was clean just wow :) Night before we stayed in 4* hotel and The Barn was 100x better. If we are ever back in Iceland we will definately stay again :) Thank you!

Set 26 km from Kirkjubæjarklaustur in the South Iceland Region, 40 km from Fagrifoss, Hvoll Guesthouse features a barbecue and views of the mountain. Systrafoss twin falls is 24 km away. Fantastic place, perfect little room. The place has everything you need in the common areas, multiple sinks in the kitchen, lots of tables and chairs. I saw a washing room as well. Our room for 3 was comfortable and had a sink. Bathrooms outside have no issues, they are decently sized. Note that you can't go up from the kitchens in your shoes and you are requested to take them off for the stairs and your room which are carpeted. This is a self check-in accommodation and you can arrive late, like we did at 11PM. The house is located quite away from anything really, you can gaze stars outside in the night. Note that the road leading here is a gravel road, follow your map closely to make the correct turns.

Bakki Apartments & Hostel offers dorm rooms and self-catering apartments by the sea in Eyrarbakki village. WiFi and parking are free. Reykjavík city centre is a 50-minute drive away. This is probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The bed was super comfy, there was a locker for each bunk, kitchen/dining was amazing, bathroom & showers were well looked after. and to top it all off, the front desk tried to coordinate a meeting with a friend of his as I was interested in Icelandic music history. Amazing!

Set a 10-minute drive from Jökulsárlón Glacier, this farm hostel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and mountain views. Iceland’s Ring Road is right next to the property. The property was one of our favourites while doing the ring road. The rooms are very nice and spacious and also have its own sink which is convenient. The kitchen was great because we could basically cook anything and they had complimentary juice and yogurt!
