The staff is absolutely amazing there and always ready to help! They even helped me out taking out my stucked car of the snow with a tractor! And gave me a lot of tips on how driving in the snow properly. This was the highlight of our stay: the people who work there. Also, the pizza we had at the dinner was so good - I mean, really good stuff. About the room, everything was tidy and clean, the shower is great with the right amount of water pressure and temperature, it has a heater to keep everything warm and the beds are nice.

Located in Seydisfjördur village, this hostel offers a rooms with a seating area, fjord views and free Wi-Fi. Seydisfjördur Swimming Pool is just 30 metres away. Parking is free at the hotel. The staff and cleanliness blew us away wth their superb attention. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming and the place eas cleaned regularly while we were there. The kitchen and sauna were excellent. The only thing I would say that was a con was that you could hear everything from outside the private rooms as the buildingnis quite old. I would recommend using ear plugs and letting guests know that the sound travels quite easily from the hallway into the rooms. Otherwise the stay was a 10/10 in every other way, I would love to stay there again and will recommend it to my friends. Thank you!

Set in Bakkafjörður, NorthEast Guesthouse features a garden. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi. it is remote, but beautiful and peaceful. our kids enjoyed the basketball hoop. They also had badminton which my daughter loved. The kitchen is well stocked to cook up your own food. I would plan on visiting a grocery before you get there as there is only one restaurant in town.

Húsey Hostel & Horsefarm features accommodation 55 km from Egilsstadir. The hostel has family rooms. At the hostel the rooms include a shared bathroom with a shower. I've been here 10 years ago and happily came back - it is still a very special place, which is definitely worth the little detour from the main road. Go horse riding there, it is simply magical :)

The hostel is very well equipped. The staff is very accommodating; we arrived after the check-in time had ended but because we called earlier the staff stayed behind to greet us and give us the key with instructions. The rooms are good and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are very clean.
