Quetzaltenango
Kasa Kiwi Hostel & Travel Agency features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Quetzaltenango. Providing a bar, the property is located within 400 metres of Quetzaltenango Central Park. The accommodation provides evening entertainment and a shared kitchen. Tom, the owner, is a great and honest guy who gives you a lot of information and tips. He don't want to sell you tours - he even encourages you to do hikes on your own and supports to connect with others who want to do the same hike. The Deluxe room has all you need and is very spacious. The kitchen is in good condition and clean. Furthermore we liked that the nice rooftop bar is also open to locals so you can connect easily with them - much more interesting as just staying in the "traveller's bubble" like in some other hostels. Thanks for the great time!
Quetzaltenango
Casa Seibel is centrally located in Quetzaltenango and offers two gardens with outdoor furniture, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a living room with satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.
The rooms here are individually decorated and include a shared full bathroom with hot water.
I loved everything about Casa Seibel. It's a beautiful old colonial house, with high ceilings, beautiful garden, lovely cozy living room and VERY spacious dorms, with proper single beds (not bunk beds). During the night it's really quiet; I had an excellent sleep every night. The location is just the best one could choose, right next to the traditional market and historical downtown. It's kept super clean. Good kitchen with filtered water. And the staff is extremely nice. I'll be back.

There is plenty of space. Enough kitchen equipment. The lady (living far) was friendly and flexible. It was relatively cheap.
Highly recommend Hotel Muchá. Spotlessly clean, large rooms, really safe and the staff couldn’t be any friendlier or helpful. We even left our hiking poles behind us and they arranged for them to be brought to us in Antigua.
Good location. A good base if you're trekking in the area. Friendly staff, the rooms were all a decent size and it was one of the cheapest places we stayed in Guatemala.
I got recommended that hostel and I was very happy to stay there - People who worked there were so helpful and both staff and hostel guests were very nice, I liked that you have separate beds instead of bunk beds
Great location just a short walk to the park and near plenty of restaurants/bars and market food stalls. The hostel offers trips and shuttles at really good value. We didn't use these facilities but a tour we had already booked was just a fraction of the price at the hostel. The terrace had a beautiful view of the city and the kitchen was out there too which was lovely. You could message the owner for any questions that you had.
Comfortable bed and warm room (6 bed dorm) compared to others. Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Rooftop bar with a great view but no party hostel. Easy to meet other backpackers.
The hostel has a great location and atmosphere. I loved their terrace - it's super big, has a great view and i found it the perfect spot to meet both locals and foreigners and socialize. There's also a nice and well equiped kitchen in case you want to cook. I was lucky to be alone in the dorm, which was very confortable, spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again!
Great location. Very good size room. Tea and coffee machine. Amazing hot shower. Well stocked kitchen. Felt safe.
The rooms were spacious and there were no bunk beds. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Moreover, there are shuttle services and tours you can book via the hostel for a good price. The bar looks nice and they offer both drinks and food.
