Situated within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, YHA Hawes features free private parking, a garden and an on-site restaurant and bar. Overlooking the Wensleydale countryside, the hostel is just 7 minutes’ walk away from the Pennine Way National Trail. Hadn't stayed in a hostel for a while, but the facilities were very decent in this one. Had a solo room, although without en-suite facilities. The Eastern European lady behind the front desk was fantastic, and couldn't do enough.

The evening meal was tasty and filling and good bottled beer available. The bed was comfortable and the shower very clean and powerful. The setting of an interesting building could not be bettered. Staff friendly and atmosphere the most genuinely relaxed I've experienced. Lots of books to read and local information.
York City Centre, York
Safestay York Micklegate has private bedrooms and bright and airy dormitories, all with personal reading lights and orthopaedic mattresses. Private rooms also have air conditioning and a personal safe. The building is so historical and the significance explaining what all the rooms used to be were fascinating. Great location and house, second to none but.... be aware that the booking company "host and stay" would not give us access to the keys until I paid 25 quid for an insurance policy I did not need. Verges on a scam so read the small print. House also had cheap and broken chairs just left in the divining room and a broken oven door that was not fixed, despite the fact the company told us not to use it; great for self catering. Great house, shocking management
Great location, decent sized bathroom. Cheap(ish) and cheerful, just what we needed for a weekend away.
Great location, spacious for a family of four and it was warm and clean. Kitchen had everything you needed and a good sized fridge freezer. Kids really enjoyed the bunk beds.
Great location, so near the beach and not far from the town centre! Loved the room - it was like a bedsit, self-contained, very secure. I felt safe - a big plus as travelling solo and the bed was so comfortable! Kerry and Jason make you feel so welcome and they cannot do enough for you. Best full English that I have ever had - not swimming in grease, which I loved. Please visit this outstanding establishment, you won't be disappointed! P.S Thank you both, I will be back!
Excellent location. Quirky and characterful youth hostel. Clean and comfortable facilities. Staff were great. We will be returning.
The room was excellent. Possibly one of the best in terms of size and comfort of the bed. Good facilities in room. Only downside was a very small window but as we were only staying for one night it wasn't a major issue. Bar is very cosy and has a nice atmosphere. Great location and only a very short walk to the train station with regular and cheap trains to Harrogate, York and Leeds.
Great location and very warm and inviting property. Personalised welcome message was lovely and refreshments. Although we didn't meet the host, communication was spot on and having the keys to collect from a safe box was easy and convenient. Walking distance to some lovely pubs/eateries and close to the beach.
Me and my partner stayed a night here, and the great price met our expectations. Great location, clean and a friendly member of staff to greet us at the door. Would recommend for a good cheap stay in Scarborough!
Friendly staff, great location I just needed a bed for the night cheap budget room for one had everything I needed
Our first stay in a hotel since the pandemic and we felt very safe and secure. Great measures in place - a very spacious hotel anyway but they were extra careful. Sanitizers were available everywhere. They could not have done any better so highly recommend staying here. Great location too and having parking available was a real bonus. Not stayed at this particular hotel before but would definitely stay again. May not be the cheapest but in these times it felt very safe and the staff were very obliging.
