Beautiful quiet location, staff really personable and helpful which was a benefit of a small hostel. Bedroom basic and small but perfectly adequate. Breakfast great !

Ambleside village is a 10-minute walk from the YHA hostel. It has a selection of quaint tea rooms, artisan shops and country pubs. I booked the quadruple room with ensuite bathroom. The view was facing the lake. Parking is just infront of the hostel (maybe due to low season I managed to park there). But if you need to park at the paid parking, it's still very near. Fish n chips shop just a few steps away from the hostel. There's a good restaurant/ cafe inside the hostel aswell. & you can take the cruise package just infront of the hostel. Overall, it was an awesome stay!

Located in the market town of Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Denton House Hostel is just a 5-minute stroll from Keswick Leisure Centre. With free WiFi and free parking, Keswick Museum and Art Gallery and Cumberland Pencil Museum are also less than a mile away. The location was beautiful! It was across the street from the Greta River and right beside the old rail line that is now a walk/run/bike trail. It is a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of town and just over 10 minutes to Derwent Lake. My bed was in the annex with the main building with all the kitchen/dining area/common room in the neighbour building about 5 metres away. I loved everything!

Located in Thirlmere, Fisher-gill Camping Barn offers free onsite parking and a terrace. Set within the Lake District National Park, the hostel is at the foot of the Helvellyn Mountains and just 5 miles from Keswick. I had the most wonderful time here! The surrounding area is gorgeous, and coming back to a crackling woodfire and a hot water bottle after having been out on a hike is the perfect end to a day spent exploring! The owner was very kind and helpful, and the camping barn had everything I could have asked for (and more!): a hot shower (coin operated, 1 pound gets you 50' of hot water), maps of the area, comfortable beds, a fireplace and some wood already prepared, fully equipped kitchen, and even hot water bottles!

With a central location 4 minutes’ drive from the train station, Kirkby Stephen Hostel lies between Cumbria’s Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. This characterful converted chapel provides luggage storage and free Wi-Fi.

It's a old chappelle transformed in a hostel... it's just an awesome experience. the lounge is just beautiful.

Situated in the Cumbrian countryside, conveniently located to visit the Lake District, YHA Helvellyn has on-site free parking and a bar. The nearest village, Glenridding, is a 6-minute drive from the hostel. The views are breathtaking. Everything was green and we even had a swim on the river which you can see from your window. The staff were super friendly and it was a pleasure to be there. Shower super clean and rooms cozy but everything clean and comfortable. Also, there were almost 20 different games to play in the living area

Easy to get to! Location is one of the best.
