Situated 3.6 km from Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge in Ballintoy, Whitepark Bay features free WiFi access and free private parking. Rooms have a private bathroom fitted with a bath or shower. Lovely staff, beautiful view from the large common room, comfortable bed. Great base for hiking in the area. Easy to get to by public transportation.

Belfast International Youth Hostel is located 7 minutes’ walk from the Botanic Garden. It offers private and dormitory rooms, an on-site café and a free Wi-Fi zone. I was travelling with my 17-year-old son. We had booked the cheapest room availabe, because we arrived late and had to leave early again the next morning, We knew that we would only sleep in the room and would not need a lot of comfort. The hostel nevertheless contacted us and pointed out to us (in a very humorous way) that the room only measured 6 m² and if we wanted to grade it up for a few pounds more. We didn't, because for our short stay the room was perfect. There were two bunk beds in it, a sink and a small coatrack. We were on the 3rd floor and it was very quiet although the hostel is situated at a main street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the day of our departure we could leave our luggage in the hostel until late in the evening and they did not charge us anything for it. We had booked a tour to Giant's Causeway and picked our luggage up when coming back from our tour and going on to Liverpool by boat. On the ground floor there was a lounge with a fridge, a microwave, cutlery, tea, coffee, sugar, where you could help yourself and have breakfast or prepare anything else to eat. Very nice people working there, you feel very welcome. I can recommend this hostel to everybody who doesn't expect luxury.

On Main Street in Bushmills, Mill Rest Youth Hostel provides accommodation within a short walk of the towns bars, shops and restaurants. Great people taking care of those staying.

Lagan Backpackers is a well-equipped hostel in central Belfast. It offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Check in is from 14:00-23:00. Staff were friendly and always available and the location was great for seeing the city. The hostel was really clean and comfy bed!
