This is a good option if you'd like to stay at a quiet place on the West Bank. The family is very kind, and your tourist money will make a direct impact. You'll be close enough to walk to several tombs/monuments, a longish walk but doable. The rooms are comfortable, family will prepare any meals you like.

El Venus Hostel está a solo 5 minutos a pie del templo de Luxor. El personal ofrece servicio de alquiler de coches y bicicletas. You can’t beat the location, you can walk to everything you want to see on the East Bank in minutes and the staff. A family run hostel that actually care about looking after you. They welcome you like a friend and give good advice which is worth more than you pay for the room. Will return if I ever have the chance.

Everything, they helped set up the most amazing tour of the west bank, a hot air balloon ride at sunrise that was awesome and when I had a whole day that I wasn't feeling well the owner brought me glasses of lemon mint tea until I was able to eat dinner. They're such kind people, I will definitely stay here when ever I'm in Luxor.
