The staff were very friendly and responsive. Facilities were very clean, and the kitchen is probably one of the best communal kitchens I've used. As a backpacker, appreciated that while this hotel was further from the city center, there's a convenience center across the street which stocks some basic food items which really saved me when I checked in late and was too tired to walk into town. Also appreciated that there was a washer + dryer. Overall, I would stay here again over the convenience of downtown simply because of all the amenities and cleanliness.

A buzzing restaurant with really the friendliest staff we’ve ever had. The rooms were clean and there are always hand towels available— shared bathrooms don’t feel like shared bathrooms at all with how clean it is.

Comfortable bed. Clean throughout. Good-size room with small table and a couple chairs. A strong heater for the cool fall weather. The location: perhaps a six-minute walk to the train station; just a couple blocks from the downtown area; and, a few blocks to a good grocery store. (A quick stroll as well to the Bayrish Pub, where I enjoyed a good evening with welcoming locals.) Shared bathroom? A reasonable tradeoff for the more-than-reasonable low November price compared to area hotels. What made the hostel all the better? The cheerful, easy-going, hard-working manager.
