The bed was extremely comfortable, there was wi fi and the TV had cable connection. Carolina was very flexible with the check-in since I arrived a bit later due to the fact I got lost in Santiago. Also, she upgraded my room for free. I totally recommend it. I will definitely come back.

El Mirador provides nice self-catering apartments a 10-minute drive from Valparaíso´s beach and a 10-minute walk from the Naval Museum and Paseo 21 de Mayo. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Remarkable view, non-touristic neighborhood, safe parking, kind and wonderful owner.

Close to the main attractions and roads, as well as having a supermarket a couple of minutes away to get all the basics. Money well spent if you are looking to save costs and not share a hostel. You do have to share the toilet, but it's with just one more room, which I find perfect. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. For example, we received a message asking us to confirm with a transfer to a local Chilean bank, which is common practice in Chile, but I didn't have time to make it, as we booked the same day. I immediately wrote to the hotel and requested to pay cash upon arrival, and they said it was okay without hesitation. Very accommodating. Finally, they provide free tea and coffee, towels, and soap, everything you need for a couple of days' escape in Viña del Mar.

La Joya Hostel is set in the historic heart of Valparaíso, right at the foot of Cerro Barón. Offering guests free WiFi, a restaurant, a rooftop terrace, and an equipped kitchen. A wonderful, clean and modern hostel, with a rich breakfast for just few dollars more($3.5 por una torta, sandwich, caffe y tea, jugo de fruta, uno yogurt). Bar and restaurant at the third floor. Quiet overnight, big rooms, close to the terminal del bus.

Casa Volante Hotel offers accommodation Cerro Concepción hill in Valparaíso, only 100 metres away from the commercial area and from Paseo Yugoeslavo area. This was super nice, great room and big bed, a ton of great common space and a very good kitchen as well! I loved this hostel. A nice bar downstairs as well that creates a really great social atmosphere and easy to meet people as a solo backpacker :)
