Welcome to Sogndal Bed & Breakfast and to Sogndal! We are a hostel that are only open in the summer time, during the school year we are Sogndal Folk High School. Come to us to enjoy our own private garden, we have a lovely apple garden that have a hammoc and several homemade chairs to relax in. Here you can relax, read a good book or take a nap. We also have a sand volleyball court and a scoccer field where you can borrow a ball from the reception. Sogndal village is only 500 meters from the property (around 10 minuts to walk) and we have several hiking trails in the area.

Mini-fridge and tea kettle in shared area were a pleasant surprise. Room was much larger than the description; I estimate it at approximately 200 square feet. Uphill from the road, with minimal traffic noise. Nice views of the surrounding countryside. Shared kitchen was spacious and useful. Easy walking access to downtown. Plenty of storage shelves and wardrobes.

The apartment is well-equipped, with a comfortable bed (a bit of a tight squeeze), and a good lounge area and deck overlooking the fjord. The kitchen had all you need.

You had to be careful to pay for your parking using the ticket machine to make sure you were covered during paid hours the next morning. Good sized rooms with old fashioned American style furniture. Close to restaurants and shops.

The atmosphere in the school, which is used as a hostel during summer break, is welcoming, open and international. Sharing the well equipped kitchen for cooking and eating was fun. The rooms are simple, but have everything that's needed. The common bathrooms and toilets were clean. The team at the reception and the kitchen was very friendly. Breakfast was totally fine for the price.
