The hostel is located along the road E6, 3 km outside Hamar and 120 km north of Oslo. The neighbouring Vikingskipet Arena was a 1994 Winter Olympics venue. Today, it hosts various sports, concerts and exhibitions.

First impressions were that location was not at all inspiring. However, the staff were great we were made to feel so welcome and the rooms were beautifully clean. there was a concert on site in the evening for which we had free admission and a great bbq was served. The concert involved 4 singers with a backing band and was a delight. Would definitely like to stay again.
