Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

I tend to stay in the Budget hostel rather than the attached Martini Hotel because the private hostel rooms are much less dusty (no carpet, thinner curtains, newer bathrooms). With more hard surfaces, they seem cleaner. This time, I was given a room with twin beds (not the usual bunks), and the bathroom contained soap and shower gel, which I don't remember from previous visits. Ok, there is no desk or wardrobe, but you don't always need those. Staff are helpful, and let me check in early.

The Hotel has a great location in the very heart of the city center, great accessibility to the nearby shops, restaurants and bars. The rooms are spacious, with modern decoration in various colors. You will find a fridge, a safe as well as shampoo and body wash. A hairdryer is also provided. The staff is exceptionally friendly and very eager to help and give recommend accommodations for your stay. They will make you feel very welcome. This is the second time we’ve stayed in this hotel and we simply love it.

Great location near the train station and an easy walk to the center. The guy who runs the pension is very nice and helpful. It was nice to have a fridge in the room as well as tea and coffee. The room was clean and so was the shared bathroom. Value for money at 50 euros a night as the next cheapest room in town is 20 euros more. This is an old school pension with lots of Dutch charm and character. Good free wifi and TV.

Room was well equipped and clean. Decor is nice, bathrooms are good. Room does feel overpriced - as it is more of a budget room set up, like citizenM - and there prices are much cheaper.

Great location and near tourist information (if that's what you need) easy to find from bus/train station. Easy going staff and quick check in. Comfy bed in small corner room with large enough sized shower room. Tea kettle with selection of teabags, nespresso machine with cups and two bottles of still water standard in the room. Unfortunately couldn't find the safe in my room. Loads of terraced restaurants and pubs nearby and it looks the perfect setting for warmer days.
