A historic Victorian house with a self-catering kitchen, a guest sitting room and a courtyard, The Valley House Hostel & Bar also offers free WiFi and free on-site parking.

I travelled down on a motorbike through some epic rainfall and arrived to roaring real fires in the lobby, dining room and sitting room which transformed my mood entirely (and allowed me to dry some of my gear!) After a great dinner in the on site dining room i moved into the pub. There was a great mixture of locals and guests and whilst there was no live music on that night it didnt stop the punters from singing into the wee small hours!
