It's in a good location (although its a short but steep uphill climb) from the town center. Rooms are clean and have high ceilings. Staff are friendly. Well equipped kitchen and nice common areas.

Helpful staff, quick check in. It was nice and quiet at night, so able to sleep well, and felt very safe. Excellent value.

Good mix of accommodation. The lodge offers modern accomodation in large rooms with large double beds. The main building is more traditional full of character with its long history. Well kept gardens and good, large safe parking close to the lodge . Staff very helpful. Good choice of cooked or continental breakfast in large sunny dining room.

The ensuite bunk bed room was nice, clean and spacious. Bicycles stored away securely in separate garage/ store. Breakfast was reasonably priced and plentiful and tasty.
