This place is a real hidden gem. We loved everything about it. The garden was completely fenced off which was great as our two kids (1.5 and 3.5 years old) could just run around without worries. The sounds of birds in the morning and everything is amazing. You're surrounded by mountains and nature. We loved the outdoor kitchen and BBQ area where we spend most of our evenings. The beds are very comfortable. Also a great location to explore the north part of Tenerife.

The youth hostel is situated right in the middle of the mountains. This is great for hiking because it is possible to start at first light (about 07:30 in winter) when it is still cool and the sun has not yet come out. On the day when I arrived, there were serious problems with buses from la Laguna to Icod de los Vinos and I was not able to make the scheduled bus from Buenavista del Norte. Fortunately, the staff were very helpful. They kept the reception open after 20:00 and did not charge me extra.

Everything was imaculately clean. This was so wonderful and comforting. It was also a wonderful first time hostel experience in that we had our own room. There was even a balacony on top of the building that was for community usage and it was such a beautiful view. The bus stop to get around was not far at all. They had books in the hostel that they made giving tipps for good places to eat, travel, things to do etc.. that was really thoughtful.

This is the best place I have seen. The villa overlooks the Masca village and the gorge. Clean, very nice . The owner was very attentive and always in touch. We had a welcoming gift (wine, fruits) The apartment is nice. There is everything for living and cooking. And everything is done with a soul. Safe. The view from the terrace is impossible to describe. I hope to come back again. Parking is available.

Great location for walking in Teno - the views from the ridge down to Masca are stunning. The accommodation is basic backpacker stuff, but very well done. Decent washing and cooking facilities.
