The room is clean, and the hostel is conveniently close to town. They have an amazing garden full of hummingbirds. The staff are super nice, and we really enjoyed our stay. Their dog, Rocky, is amazing; we had an early morning trip to the bird garden, and he walked us all the way there, which was so sweet.

The staff were all really friendly, very nice people. The kitchen has everything you might need, and is always clean. Laundry service is available. The bathrooms are clean, hot water always available. The location of the hostel is great, it is just one street away from the main part of town, so you don't get a lot of traffic and it's a quieter area.The hostel appears to have two parts, an older section and a newer section. The newer section looks really nice. The older section is all made of wood, that's where we stayed because we were trying to be cheap. But still our room was comfortable. There is a nice area with hammocks and tables. We heard that Mindo gets busy mostly on the weekends, and we were there during the week, so it was really quiet and at times we were the only people there. Also, the staff was really helpful, gave us tips on local buses etc.

The bungalow was so beautifully located right next to a little water stream, you could hear only the water flowing. So easy to arrive and a few blocks from Mindo Park,very safe, yet feels in the middle of nature. It was very clean, with all amenities, the bathroom had hot water, and the staff super friendly, shout-out to Sara, she is very nice and helpful. I also used the pool. Will definitely go back.

The breakfast area was amazing, being able to see all the birds. The breakfast was really good, room was very comfortable and the staff were lovely and really helpful. It was also really well located, far enough away from the centre to be quiet but only a 30 second walk to the main park.

Matteo was a great host, super knowledgable about the area - he’s studying anthropology and even lived for a while with one of the local tribes, which you can do a day trip to learn about! I really learned a lot chatting with him and I recommend you do the same. The location was also great - it’s a little bit outside of the town (8 minute walk) which means the bird life is much better. Sitting out on the terrace we saw so many hummingbirds and even a few tucans!

Good hostel! The family is really nice and the rooms are good. A couple of hammocks and a kitchen with filtered water and a fridge. Few minutes away from the centre but Mindo is small anyway :)

Location was good. You have to consider that Mindo is a very small town so location is relative to your preferences and expectations. Staff was really kind and nice.
